There are many roles at your wedding which your family and friends are playing.
Bride’s father
The bride’s father is generally one of the most influential men in the bride’s life. Suppose you are unfortunate and your father cannot fill this position for any reason. In that case, an equally important family member usually serves this role (mother). The bride’s father delivers the first speech of the evening. His role is to walk the bride down the aisle to her husband-to-be.
Best Man & Maid of Honor
The groom’s best man and the bride’s maid of honour are two traditional roles for most . The best man and maid of honour are usually friends or family members who are very important to the bride and groom. The role of these two people is to take as much pressure off the bride and groom as possible.
Duties may include
- Enter with the groom.
- Look after the wedding rings.
- Greet the wedding guests.
- Dance with the maid of honour
- Look after the flower girls and page boys,
- Assist in the attire,
- Coordinate with vendors and deliver speeches at the reception.
Bridesmaid and Groomsmen
Bridesmaids and Groomsmen are the important people in your life. It’s a great way to tell people they are essential to you by choosing them as your bridesmaids and groomsmen. It mainly comprises special friends or family members that play a significant role in your life.
Their duties involve
- To greet your guest along with your family
- To be there to support you
- Assist bride and groom with a pre-wedding party
- To help the bride and groom with their outfits.
There is no set number of people you should include in your bridesmaid and groomsman. It’s dependent on the couple.
Flower Girls
Flower girls are generally young girls from your family who walk in front of the bride to the aisle and traditionally scatters flower petals. You can choose as many young girls as you want to.
Page Boy
A page boy is generally a young boy from the family who will follow the maid of honour down the aisle, or he may bring the wedding rings and hold the wedding rings at the altar.
